Talbert, Bright & Ellington, Inc. (TBE) is a full-service, professional aviation engineering firm focused on the planning, design, and construction for airports in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina for over 28 years.
Currently, TBE is seeking a full-time Resident Project Representative I (RPR) to support airfield and landside projects at Charlotte‑Douglas International Airport (CLT) and other airport clients across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary on‑site representative for TBE during the construction phase of assigned projects.
Monitor and document daily construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory standards.
Prepare daily reports, field notes, photo documentation, and quantity tracking for contractor work.
Coordinate and participate in construction meetings with airport staff, contractors, and project designers.
Review contractor pay applications, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
Verify quality control measures, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines.
Assist with materials testing coordination and tracking.
Communicate field observations and issues clearly to the design team and airport staff.
Support project closeout efforts including punch lists, final inspections, and record drawings.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of field inspection experience involving construction contracts OR
Associate degree in engineering or construction‑related field and 2+ years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and 1 year of civil engineering, construction, or inspection experience.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents.
Must be capable of effective oral and written communication; work in a team‑oriented manner, and possess analytical and organizational skills.
High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
