About the Role
Join Amrize as a Market Manager – Cement. This individual‑contributor role focuses on territory management and technical responsibilities in the cement product line. You will develop and sustain a business strategy designed to gain or protect market share, provide basic technical service to customers in your territory, lead marketing and sales efforts, and monitor product performance.
The position requires travel as needed to meet customers and attend business unit and district meetings.
Employee must be based in Mississippi or Northern Louisiana. Relocation to the area is expected to be completed within the first 100 days of employment.
What You’ll Accomplish
Create clear business strategy for key accounts (increase share, account penetration, protect existing base, etc.)
Develop, maintain and strengthen customer relationships
Develop revenue and product goals which are time‑bound, realistic and achievable
Understand how to deliver value to customers (Performance Innovations if applicable) and use value‑selling strategies
Identify and understand the competitive landscape
Develop plans to maximize the potential of accounts, and use good account‑management practices
Gather territory intelligence on all market products and create a realistic succession pipeline of customers that can be sold if other volumes are lost
Participate actively in trade associations as required
Track and manage major sales opportunities as they progress through the selling process
Identify and elevate customer volume abnormalities with proposed resolution
Effectively manage relationships between logistics, manufacturing, pricing and other key issues
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors
What We’re Looking For Education:
Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred:
Business, Engineering, or equivalent degree
Required Work Experience:
3‑5 years in the construction materials industry
Required Training/Certifications:
Sandler sales training and certification preferred
Travel Requirements:
10%
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved personal protection equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
