We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our multi‑location supply chain operations across the Midwest. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in construction materials logistics, including LTL shipping, flatbed transportation, and regional freight lane management. This role is critical to ensure the timely delivery of construction materials to our customers while maintaining cost‑effectiveness and operational excellence across our 36‑location network.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement logistics strategies tailored to our construction supply business, managing efficient movement of materials across the Midwest footprint.
Oversee LTL carrier relationships and flatbed transportation operations, optimize freight lanes throughout the region, and coordinate distribution activities across all 36 locations.
Manage inventory flow between locations, negotiate carrier contracts and rates, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
Analyze transportation costs and performance metrics, implement routing optimization strategies, and lead initiatives to improve delivery times and reduce freight expenses.
Manage relationships with carriers and third‑party logistics providers, coordinate logistics of oversized and heavy construction materials, and supervise logistics staff and dispatchers.
Work remotely or at a local branch.
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction materials logistics, including LTL shipping, flatbed transportation, and regional freight lane management.
Experience in managing multi‑location supply chains across the Midwest.
Strong analytical skills to analyze transportation costs and performance metrics.
Ability to negotiate carrier contracts and rates.
Compliance knowledge with DOT regulations and safety standards.
