Job Summary
Perform a full range of specialized clerical and technical duties in support of the Certified Nursing Assistant program under the Nursing Pilot Program Grant.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support and perform clerical duties, including answering correspondence, preparing reports, processing documents, and distributing office mail.
Handle multiple priorities simultaneously, making independent decisions according to established guidelines.
Develop, maintain, and update office procedure manuals.
Receive incoming telephone calls, welcome visitors, and direct callers and visitors to appropriate personnel.
Process applications, contracts, student records, and forms—verifying information, entering data, securing signatures, forwarding to other departments or agencies, and notifying students or employees of their status.
Assist in implementing program‑related activities, special sessions, schedules, seminars, and workshops.
Retrieve, compile, and compare data from multiple sources, prepare informational and statistical reports, and transmit data electronically to other agencies or departments.
Track budget and fiscal data, record information in computer programs, monitor office supplies, process new or replenishment orders, and participate in vendor selection.
Establish and maintain specialized databases, ensuring accuracy of records, and create special forms, charts, and reports using word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
Assist the Program Director with marketing materials, including catalogs, brochures, mailing lists, and web page modifications, and provide recommendations for program improvements.
Subsidiary Functions:
May perform other duties commensurate with the position, including committee assignments and student recruitment and retention activities.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree (60 credits) and two (2) years of applicable experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Part‑time work up to 19 hours per week.
Background verification required for all employment positions.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of office management processes, workflow procedures, and effective workload prioritization.
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, and integrated information software, and associated hardware.
Skill in gathering, compiling, and presenting information.
