Limited Scope Radiology Technician/Medical Assistant
Sentara Urgent Care Red Mill is hiring a Part‑time Rad‑Tech Limited Scope/Certified Medical Assistant.
Overview Part‑time position in Virginia Beach, VA covering Swing Shift hours. The role combines responsibilities of a Medical Assistant and a Limited Scope Radiology Technician.
Responsibilities
Perform patient care and administrative/clerical tasks under the direction of physicians, NP/PA, RN, or LPN.
Provide patient care and perform limited radiographic examinations in the scope defined by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
Perform available radiographic exams: chest, extremities, pectoral girdle, skull/sinuses, spine, abdominal and pelvic exams (as permitted by state regulations).
Maintain stable performance under stressful conditions and organize work to achieve results.
Schedule Clinic hours – 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday‑Friday; Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m.–4 p.m.; schedule will vary.
Education & Credentials
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Trade school or higher graduate.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA) or EMT Basic Certification.
Limited Radiology Technician state license as required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
Experience
Clinical experience preferred.
