Job Title Economic Empowerment Coordinator

Hours of Work 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. EFAA office hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with a specific schedule determined by the employee and their supervisor in conjunction with other staff. Some evening and weekend work will be required. Remote work arrangements are determined in consultation with the supervisor and following EFAA’s evolving hybrid work policies.

Position Summary The Economic Empowerment Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of EFAA’s Economic Empowerment programming, including implementation of related educational initiatives, programs, and activities. The scope includes educating and resourcing participants around financial health, digital literacy and employment supports with the goal of improving skills and knowledge to make financial decisions and improve economic wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical and administrative support to ensure internal processes are completed efficiently and support collaboration among EFAA programs, community partners and volunteers.

Stay abreast of concepts and programs related to economic empowerment to incorporate best practices into programming and curriculum.

Serve as lead on coordinating and organizing virtual and in-person economic empowerment educational opportunities (Financial Health Course, Digital Divide Class, etc.) and other program activities (tax outreach, employment supports) and coordinate as needed with external partners and contractors.

Manage logistics and scheduling for classes, including vendor contracts.

Outreach, recruitment and enrollment of participants.

Support the team on any courses the position is directly coordinating and serve as substitute facilitator when needed.

Develop and strengthen relationships and lead communications with partners, vendors and other providers.

In collaboration with EFAA’s Data, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator and Economic Empowerment Program Manager, develop and collect key program metrics and implement course evaluations and other surveys.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date historical records by organizing, updating and securely storing program data in accordance with organizational policies and compliance requirements.

Support the Program Manager and Housing Team to advance participants’ goals in the area of economic empowerment, particularly with referrals to employment, upskilling and entrepreneurship resources.

Work with the Program Manager to develop broader partnerships and collaborations across the economic empowerment landscape, including supporting potential creation and ongoing collaboration of an Economic Empowerment Alliance across Boulder County.

In collaboration with the Program Manager, develop strategic objectives and annual implementation plans for related areas within EFAA’s Strategic Planning framework.

Identify programming gaps and opportunities to build out EFAA’s economic empowerment programming.

Explore other economic empowerment activities and opportunities as work program and funding allow.

Attend all appropriate staff meetings and complete all required trainings.

Assist EFAA leadership with cultivating and maintaining partnerships with government, nonprofits and other organizations specifically invested in economic empowerment strategies and programs to support the overall goal of the program.

Assist in representing EFAA at sector-related events and coalitions.

Work with the Director of Volunteer Services to identify potential for engaging volunteers to support economic empowerment programming.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of economic empowerment, financial well-being or employment related experience.

Experience working with underserved or vulnerable populations.

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects a must.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study (social work, business, finance, behavioral economics, etc.) or equivalent relevant experience.

Verbal and written Spanish language proficiency.

Proficient in MS Office and MS Teams (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint) and other relevant software such as Zoom, Monday.

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Demonstrated decision making ability.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple activities and establish priorities in an environment of competing demands.

Ability to communicate and work easily with a wide variety of people.

Effectively navigates change by reassessing priorities, learning new systems or processes, and responding constructively to evolving demands.

Commitment to the mission of EFAA.

Adheres to and upholds safety workplace practices; demonstrates responsible use of EFAA Information Technology equipment and adheres to EFAA IT protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

Resource navigation and curriculum development experience.

Experience developing partnerships and coordinating group work.

Program design and development experience.

Public speaking experience.

Working Environment Typical office environment. Regularly uses computers for data input and other work.

Compensation This is a full‑time position, 40 hours per week. The salary range for this position is $58,000 to $61,000 annually. Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.
