Operations Manager

Summary: Our client is a well-established prototype sheet metal manufacturer with
17 years in operation , serving the
military, aerospace, and automotive
industries. We are seeking an experienced individual to take over day-to-day operations as the owner transitions to a reduced role.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, direct, and schedule a team of 5 employees , ensuring productivity and accountability.
Assign daily tasks, provide clear directions to staff and coordinate daily workflow to keep operations running smoothly
Manage all
shipping and receiving
operations
Prepare shipping documents and customer invoices using
QuickBooks
Set up and manage
FedEx and trucking shipments
Communicate with customers, vendors, and carriers as needed
Work within an
ERP system
to manage orders, inventory, and job tracking
Source and coordinate
outside services , including paint, heat treat, and other subcontracted processes
Maintain a
clean, organized, and efficient work area
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in
operations management within manufacturing or shop environments
Familiarity with either
military, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing
processes
Proven ability to
lead, direct, and motivate staff
Proficiency with
QuickBooks
Experience working with an
ERP system
Knowledge of
logistics, shipping, and freight coordination
Military shipping knowledge (CMMC knowledge)
is strongly preferred
