Position Overview This posting will fill multiple positions. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to assigned patients in the Stem Cell Transplant Unit (F7), a 30 private bed unit specializing in multiple myeloma. The unit works with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associate’s Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master’s in Nursing.

Valid RN License.

One (1) year of Registered Nursing experience.

Excellent communication skills.

Basic computer skills.

Strong work ethics and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two (2) years or more nursing experience with current BLS.

Responsibilities Registered Nurse delivers nursing care for patients within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act and adheres to institutional policies, procedures, and standards.

Adheres to the standard of care defined by UAMS, ANA, and specialty patient population standards.

Collects and documents assessment data. Develops a Plan of Care and implements it with an interdisciplinary approach.

Evaluates patient progress toward desired outcomes.

Provides effective patient/family education and discharge planning.

Administers medication per standard and communicates drug information to patients/families.

Acts as a resource and supports others.

Delivers patient care using the defined nursing modality.

Delegates care based on UAMS standards, legal requirements, job description, and education level.

Contributes to a positive work environment and serves as a resource for student nurses and staff.
