Position Summary As a SIOP and Demand Specialist II (Planner II), you will play a critical role in driving our Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) and demand forecasting processes. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Sales, OEM, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment between demand and supply and continuously improve planning processes. Essential Functions
SIOP Demand and Supply Reviews
Prepare for and lead monthly Demand Reviews and SIOP meetings with cross‑functional teams.
Drive demand reconciliation processes ensuring alignment between demand plans and supply capabilities.
Propose and implement continuous improvements in SIOP processes such as demand load management, frozen period management, and forecast ownership.
Serve as the primary liaison with Finance and Programs for budget alignment and reforecasting exercises.
Demand Forecasting and Planning
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using quantitative (statistical models, historical sales data) and qualitative inputs (market intelligence, customer feedback). Experience with Logility preferred.
Consolidate, analyze, and validate forecasts collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders.
Generate and communicate a 24‑36 month rolling demand plan aligned with business objectives and market trends.
Communicate demand planning performance, challenges, and opportunities to management and relevant business units.
Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to review forecast changes, potential risks, and mitigation plans.
Process Improvement
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within the demand planning function.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and inventory management.
Data Analysis and Problem Solving
Extract and interpret data from multiple sources to identify root causes and support data‑driven decision‑making.
Troubleshoot forecasting and MRP issues to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related area.
At least 7+ years of progressive experience in demand planning or supply chain forecasting, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
Preferred the candidate has passed the CPIM national certification basics exam.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences globally.
Proven problem‑solving and analytical abilities to define problems, analyze data, and propose effective solutions.
Self‑motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and passion for driving process efficiencies.
Experience with ERP and MRP systems (MSS or SAP), dashboards, and advanced Excel skills.
Solid knowledge of manufacturing resource planning theories, SIOP principles, and aerospace industry practices.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
Collaborative mindset with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across multiple departments and functions.
Detail‑oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Understanding of communication and supply chain flow from order entry to invoice in an aerospace environment.
APICS or ASCM certification preferred.
Strong time management skills and the ability to understand your role within the greater organization to meet the sales plan.
Travel Requirement – 10%
