Job Overview The Resident Services Supervisor (RSS) will be assigned to specific housing communities to work in conjunction with on‑site staff and the supervisory team. RSS will engage proactively with all Team Members and continuously assess and manage healthy aging and transition plans in collaboration with Resident Service Coordinators. The RSS creates partnerships with community health and social services partners to ensure coordinated care, supports seniors and the disabled, takes the lead on special projects, provides new staff training, and performs administrative accountability as directed by the Director of Resident Services Programs.
Essential Job Duties
Establish a positive, productive and professional relationship with assigned communities and colleagues.
Develop and maintain RSC new‑hire training materials and keep the RSC manual up to date.
Train new hires and existing RSCs on company policies and procedures.
Regularly review internal financial/performance reports, HUD regulatory and RSC programming reports; prepare and submit all HUD reports and budgets for the assigned portfolio.
Perform annual performance reviews for Team Members and implement development or improvement plans.
Review and approve expense reports, staples orders, Per Unit per Month (PUPM) invoices submitted by the Team Members.
Manage all ADP payroll functions including mid‑week e‑Times, final payroll, vacation/sick time off.
Oversee the collection and updates of all reasonable accommodations and modifications for TRM/TPM and PUPM programs.
Collaborate with colleagues to elevate performance, implement corporate policies and maintain a high level of housing awareness.
Ensure Team Members maintain all necessary resident and program data using AASC Online; case management, progress updates and resident interaction documentation.
Engage and motivate Team Members to create resident programs (e.g., social isolation prevention, health and well‑being) and manage onsite transportation programs.
Ensure effective collaboration with local agencies to review discharge plans for seamless transition back to the community.
Convene and facilitate team meetings with community partners for strategy development.
Ensure Team Members complete and submit monthly management reports and additional reports requested by HUD and TRM/TPM.
Support the Director of Resident Services Programs with the interview process for Resident Service Coordinator applicants.
Maintain good tenant relations, organize, participate in, and facilitate resident programs at the communities.
Attend staff, departmental, and other required meetings.
Must be able to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Perform other special projects and coverage of TRM/TPM sites as required.
Experience & Education
Course work or seminar attendance as identified in the HUD Handbook to comply with Service Coordinator Program requirements (certification must be current).
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Counseling, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four years’ experience working with the elderly and/or those who are developmentally challenged.
Must be bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish (written and oral).
Preferred experience in health education and prevention programs (e.g., Chronic Disease Self‑Management Program).
Preferred AASC Online and HUD‑provided software.
Preferred two years of ADP Workforce Now experience.
Foundational computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, email, calendaring) and Internet usage.
Travel
Frequent local travel.
May require travel out of state for conferences and trainings.
Must have a valid California driver’s license, proof of current vehicle insurance, and a driving record that meets TELACU Industries insurer’s criteria; must be able to use own vehicle in the course of work.
Computer & Software Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet.
Familiarity with AASC Online and HUD‑provided software.
Physical Requirements
Constantly (6–8 hours per day): sitting, using hands to finger, handle or feel (computer operation).
Occasionally (up to 3 hours per day): standing, walking, stooping/bending, reaching with hands and arms, lifting up to 20 lbs.
Work Environment & Exposures
May require occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, vibration and loud noise levels.
Exposed to varying weather conditions, soil, pollen, grass and plant materials and fertilizer while working.
Exposed to cleaning solutions of household strength; may be exposed to industrial solutions for pest control, paints or solvents.
Hazards include occasional exposure to biohazards such as blood‑borne pathogens, sewage, building waste.
