About BioSpace
BioSpace (BVA) delivers cross‑functional commercialization and business development support that creates value for developing biotech partners. BVA addresses a central challenge faced by many biotech companies: while founders relentlessly chase scientific breakthroughs from pre‑clinical to phase 2, they are often stretched to tackle the many commercialization and business‑development questions that must be addressed to maximize value at the developing enterprise. BVA’s team of experts helps across the full spectrum of commercial and business development activity, including valuation, analytics, pricing & market access, sales strategy, commercial operations, manufacturing, partnership, M&A, financing, and investor relations. About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Analyst to support strategic M&A, partnering, competitive intelligence, and transaction execution activities across our biotech portfolio. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in biotech, life sciences consulting, investment banking, or equity research, with exceptional financial modeling, research and presentation development skills. Business Development & Strategy
Support evaluation of strategic partnerships, M&A, licensing deals, and fundraising opportunities. Prepare high‑quality materials for external meetings, including corporate decks, scientific summaries, and transaction teasers. Conduct competitive landscapes, pipeline analyses, and market assessments across therapeutic areas. Financial Modeling & Analytics
Build and maintain financial models, including valuation analyses, scenario planning, and forecasting (DCF, NPV, comparables, precedent transactions). Analyze deal terms, structures, and comparable licensing agreements. Support due diligence processes for inbound and outbound opportunities. Market & Competitive Intelligence
Monitor industry trends, scientific developments, clinical trial readouts, and M&A activity. Summarize actionable insights for internal stakeholders and BD leadership. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with scientific, clinical, regulatory, and finance teams to synthesize data for BD materials. Assist with board materials, investor updates, and internal strategy presentations. Qualifications
Required
3–5 years of experience in biotech, investment banking, equity research, management consulting, venture capital, or similar analytical environment. Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to translate complex scientific and commercial topics into clear, concise presentations. Excellent communication and writing abilities. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams. In‑office position. Preferred
Biotech equity research or Wall Street experience. Prior experience in business development, licensing, or corporate strategy in a biotech or pharma environment. Understanding of drug development, clinical data interpretation, and asset valuation. Working knowledge of biotech leadership and landscape. What We Offer
Opportunity to work directly with senior executives and scientific leaders. Hands‑on involvement in transactions that shape the company’s growth. A fast‑paced, high‑impact environment where initiative is rewarded. Competitive salary and excellent health benefits.
