Key Responsibilities
Material Handling and Inventory Management
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips or purchase orders.
Accurately label and store materials in designated locations, maintaining clear and orderly inventory records.
Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation to minimize discrepancy.
Shipping and Distribution
Prepare materials and products for shipment, including picking, packing, labeling, and palletizing.
Collaborate with the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods to customers or distribution centers.
Operational Support
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material‑handling machinery, in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, adhering to safety and environmental standards.
Collaboration and Communication
Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery to support manufacturing schedules.
Report damaged or defective materials to the appropriate department for resolution.
Compliance and Safety
Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety guidelines to create a secure work environment.
Participate in safety training and emergency response drills.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Additional certifications in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management are a plus.
2+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Certifications
Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
Work Environment
Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
Compensation Hourly rate: $20.00 - $21.50 (starting pay depends on location, experience, training, and education).
