Job Summary We are seeking a Café Retail Manager to join our Morrison Healthcare team and oversee the daily operations of our retail café environment within an acute care setting in Little Rock, AR. The Retail Manager is an energetic, entrepreneurial manager who is constantly seeking a better way to conduct business. The Retail Manager is responsible for the successful retail/cafeteria operation of Food & Retail; duties include planning and supervision of special functions, maintaining cash controls and payroll records, hiring and training hourly team members, ensuring customer satisfaction and good public relations, and safely and efficiently using resources.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily administrative and operational tasks

Handle all aspects of staff management

Manage all financials including budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting

Maintain knowledge of the marketplace and trends

Control costs and expenditures for the account

Oversee sanitation and safety of assigned unit(s)

Purchase and manage inventory

Implement new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team

Act as the direct liaison with the client

Preferred Qualifications

Culinary degree preferred, or A.A. Degree plus related experience

Three or more years supervisory experience in food service operations

Supervisory experience in a healthcare, senior living, retirement or related environment desirable

Knowledge of retail, food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation

Leadership, management and coaching skills

Communication skills both written and verbal

Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, e‑mail, the Internet and other necessary computer programs
