Overview Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides employment and training services to help people find jobs and reach financial stability. We operate 51 retail stores, 20 career centers, and dozens of donation centers across a 31‑county territory. As a store lead, you will demonstrate friendly customer service, teamwork, and integrity in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
Close the store, reconcile cash, and secure the facility for the night.
Prepare and maintain records of store operations, including daily sales reports, cash deposits, and opening/closing reports.
Conduct inspections when necessary.
Provide cash register and customer service support.
Receive, price, and stock donations (lift up to 50 pounds occasionally).
Hang, inspect, and tag textile & clothing in a production style setting.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Lead or supervisory experience required.
Ability to work most store hours, especially evenings and weekends (stores open Monday‑Saturday 9 am‑8 pm, Sunday 1 pm‑8 pm).
Compensation $16.25 per hour.
Hours Full‑time, Monday‑Saturday 9 am‑8 pm; Sunday 1 pm‑8 pm.
