Job Overview Atlantic Group is hiring an Accounting & Operations Analyst in New York, NY. In this in‑office role, you will support accounting, reconciliations, cash movements, reporting, and trade operations while maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with process improvements. This role is ideal for early‑career professionals with strong accounting fundamentals seeking broad exposure to fund accounting and investment operations within a growing firm.
Responsibilities
Fund Accounting: Support journal entries, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and monthly close activities for investment entities.
Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly cash, position, and transaction reconciliations across custodians, administrators, and internal systems.
Operations Support: Assist with trade settlement review, cash movements, wire processing, and coordination with third‑party administrators.
Reporting: Prepare internal financial reports, investor statements, and operational dashboards for management and investment teams.
Data & Process Management: Maintain data accuracy, update internal systems, and support workflow improvements and ad‑hoc operational projects.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field required.
Experience: 1‑2 years of experience in accounting, public accounting, fund administration, or operations within financial services.
Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills with the ability to work with large datasets; familiarity with accounting systems, fund administrators, or OMS platforms preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of accounting fundamentals, financial reconciliations, and basic investment operations.
Skills & Attributes: Detail‑oriented, analytical, proactive professional with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
