Assistant Principal (Elementary Grades 3–5) Location: 5701 W McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85035
Compensation: $67,000 – $80,000 year‑round salary (DOE), plus bonus pay opportunities
Schedule: Full‑time, on‑site (not a remote position)

Who We’re Looking For We are seeking a mission‑driven, instructional leader to serve as Assistant Principal for Elementary Grades 3–5. This role is ideal for an experienced elementary educator who has demonstrated success teaching core content and is ready to step into a formal leadership role.

Strong in elementary instruction and curriculum (ELA & Math)
Experienced in self‑contained and departmentalized classroom settings
Skilled at coaching teachers and improving instructional practice
Data‑informed and student‑centered

About The Role The Assistant Principal (Grades 3–5) plays a key role in supporting instructional quality, teacher development, and school culture within the upper elementary grade band. This position works closely with the Principal, instructional coaches, and teachers to ensure consistent, high‑quality teaching and learning experiences across classrooms.
Responsibilities
Supporting and coaching Grades 3–5 teachers in ELA and Math instruction
Conducting classroom observations and providing actionable feedback
Leading grade‑level collaboration and data meetings
Supporting the implementation of curriculum, assessments, and instructional routines
Monitoring student achievement data and supporting intervention planning
Assisting with school‑wide systems related to culture, attendance, and behavior
Supporting daily school operations and serving as a visible instructional leader on campus
Contributing to a safe, structured, and positive school environment for students and staff
Qualifications & Competencies (Required)
3–5 years of classroom teaching experience in elementary grades (3–5 preferred)
Demonstrated success teaching core content (self‑contained, ELA, and/or Math)
Prior teacher leadership experience (e.g., grade‑level lead, mentor teacher, instructional support role, or committee leadership)
Strong understanding of elementary instructional best practices, curriculum alignment, and assessment
Proven ability to analyze student data and support instructional improvement
Ability to coach teachers through observation, feedback, and collaboration
Strong communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred)
Consistent professional work history demonstrating reliability and commitment to a school community
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Title I or similar school settings
Experience supporting instructional systems across a grade
Interest in pursuing long‑term school leadership growth
