We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Logistics Supervisor
with expertise in
Trade Compliance
to oversee daily logistics operations and ensure adherence to U.S. importation and international trade regulations. This role is critical in maintaining efficient logistics processes while safeguarding the company against compliance risks.
Responsibilities
Ensure all import/export activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Prepare and review import/export documentation including commodity HTS classification, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
Stay current with U.S. import tariffs, import permits (e.g., FCC on communication commodities), and global trade regulations (e.g., HTS, EAR, ITAR, ECCN).
Manage trade regulatory inquiries and train internal teams on trade compliance procedures and best practices.
Supervise inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery.
Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouse teams to optimize logistics performance.
Resolve shipping and customs declaration issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
3+ years of experience in logistics, trade compliance, or customs brokerage.
Strong knowledge of U.S. import/customs and global trade regulations and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience working with global suppliers and freight partners.
Familiarity with Incoterms and international trade documentation.
Working experience in electronics manufacturing is a plus.
Certification in trade compliance (e.g., CCS, CUSECO) is a plus.
Must be able to legally work in the U.S.
Working experience in FTZ (free trade zone) manufacturing is a bonus.
Ability to analyze data and generate performance reports.
Multilingual capabilities are a bonus (e.g., Chinese/Spanish).
