Cornerstone University is looking for an Associate Registrar to administer and maintain official academic records for the Registrar’s Office. The Associate Registrar supports the Registrar through planning, organizing and managing daily operations including registration, transfer credit evaluation, and degree completion while maintaining accuracy and data integrity of all student records. The Associate Registrar must understand all academic policies and articulate information to internal and external audiences. Responsibilities

Represent Cornerstone University in a Christ-like, professional manner to many different internal and external constituencies, consistently exhibiting enthusiasm toward the institution

Oversee the daily operations of the Registrar’s office including staff supervision

Collaborate with the Registrar on policy and process improvements

Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff by working to resolve issues related to student records

Evaluate and record transfer credits in the student data system

Process transfer pre-approvals and guest applications

Coordinate catalog updates and publication

Manage the technical aspects of the student data system in collaboration with the Registrar and IT

Facilitate the collection of enrollment and degree data for submission to the National Student Clearinghouse and IPEDs

Collect and verify grades each semester

Process academic standing each semester including sending notification letters, updating records and processing reports

Post graduation dates and honors each semester

Oversee the creation and maintenance of program evaluation information for all degree programs

Assist in the planning and implementation of commencement

Maintain Asia Biblical Theological Seminary (ABTS) Registrar functions

Serve as the deputy Registrar in the absence of the Registrar

As such all employees are expected to serve as Christian leaders and mentors by effectively living a gospel-centered lifestyle, ministering and discipling through a biblical worldview.

Assist with special projects, new initiatives, and other duties as assigned by the Registrar

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred

Experience in higher education, advising, or Registrar preferred

Knowledge of catalog requirements as they relate to registration and graduation

Excellent computer and database skills with a high-level ability to learn new technology/software

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Related experience in data entry, data analysis and reporting preferred

Ability to deal with high volumes of work throughout the calendar year

Protect the privacy of student records through adherence to FERPA regulations

Proven ability to develop cooperative working relationships with a wide array of faculty, students, alumni, and professionals representing a diverse range of academic disciplines and backgrounds

Essential Qualifications

A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active Christian commitment.
