Project Manager – Design
Reporting to:

Location:
Hybrid – on site in Abilene 1‑2× per month depending on project stage
Overview The Project Manager – Design will lead and coordinate the design phase of Data Center construction projects, ensuring successful delivery of all project management services throughout the design phase and supporting business development, financial management, and staff development.
Responsibilities
Manage the Data Center client and project team, delivering projects that meet client goals and outcomes.
Oversee design management, schedule, and package tracking.
Lead design clarity, submittals and shop drawings, and liaison with A&E partners.
Coordinate construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, site visits, and mock‑ups.
Implement change management, PCO entitlements, and cost control.
Produce status and cost reports, manage budgets, and maintain schedule control.
Mentor internal project support staff or work independently.
Contribute to team performance, collaboration, and client value creation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, related field, or relevant experience.
5‑10 years of experience across various building types and construction management through all phases of construction.
Excellent verbal and written communication, problem‑solving and financial management skills.
Ability to write clear reports and manage diverse teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work primarily in an indoor office environment; occasional on‑site work including ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Hours may include extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, carrying, pushing and pulling.
