Job Description: Deriva Energy, a portfolio company of Brookfield Renewable U.S., who is a nationwide leader in sustainable energy provides wind, solar, resilient backup power, and managed energy services to over 1,000 projects across the U.S., with a total electric capacity of more than 5,100 megawatts of nonregulated renewable energy is seeking a Lead Procurement Specialist - IT, to be based in their Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters. Reporting to the Associate Director, Strategic Operations Procurement, the Lead Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the management and execution of activities surrounding the procurement of IT Software, Goods and Services, with a large focus on sourcing, negotiation, and contract management. This is the lead level of the Procurement classification hierarchy. Employees at this level manage work in various areas of specialization, with minimal supervision. Responsibilities

Prepare and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs), evaluate proposals with internal stakeholders and lead contractual negotiations with suppliers Negotiate information technology agreements and support contract renewals (e.g., licensing, infrastructure, networking, and telecom agreements) Develop sourcing strategies that maximize value and mitigate risks to the company and its clients Work with IT functional leaders to discuss and establish strategic procurement initiatives Safeguard, and ensure adherence to, all company procurement processes and policies Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders, as needed Own the supplier relationships to include developing, maintaining and fostering the partnerships for continuous improvement and effective performance management Assist in other day-to-day Procurement tasks as required Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree in IT, Supply-Chain, Business Administration or related field + 7 years' work experience OR Associates degree in IT, Supply-Chain, Business Administration or related field + 9 years' work experience OR HS/GED + 11 years' work experience Desired Qualifications

Strong negotiation skills & working knowledge of IT sourcing and contracting techniques, with a proven track record in IT procurement Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to change Understanding of, and experience with, legal terms and conditions and experience negotiating information technology terms and agreements such as End User License Agreements (EULA), Saas/cloud agreements, Support and Maintenance Agreements, Service Level Agreements, Telecom agreements, Managed Services contracts, and more. Thorough understanding of full-cycle procure to pay process & previous experience using an ERP system Working knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently within a team environment Positive, proactive approach to enhancing procurement methods and company practices Excellent written and oral communication skills Working Conditions

This position is located in Charlotte, NC This is an in person position; employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to the designated office location. 4 days in office required, option to work remotely 1 day per week Desired Qualifications

Master's degree in electrical engineering Strong problem-solving skills Proficiency in computer programming (any language) Experience with PLC programming and configuration Experience with power engineering Experience with computer networking Self-motivated, with a high level of initiative Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet stated deadlines Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and foster good relationships with teammates and business partners Additional Information
