Position Overview
We are hiring for Quality Assurance Technician across all shifts.
Location Plymouth, MN
Pay Base: $21.00/hr Shift differential of $2.00 applies to 3rd shift.
Hours 1st shift: 5am-1:30pm 3rd shift: 9pm-5:30am
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Direct day‑to‑day quality and food safety activities.
Adjust quantities and verify all ingredients and materials in the ERP System (PLEX).
Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and other policies through the ERP System and required paper forms.
Communicate quality control expectations to all employees.
Conduct metal detector challenges, sensory evaluations, and verify calibration of all scales and thermometers.
Monitor GMP compliance and perform basic lab analysis (pH, moisture).
Assist in problem‑solving by analyzing data, investigating issues, recommending solutions, and supporting training for GMP.
Document quality issues in daily QA reports and send reports at the end of each shift.
General Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with team members from other shifts.
Participate in Food Safety and Food Defense activities.
Perform additional duties as directed.
Education & Experience
High school graduate or equivalent.
Post‑high‑school training in laboratory sciences or related field preferred.
Minimum of 1–3 years experience in food quality, including GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, data collection/analysis, and laboratory skills.
Experience with SQF is preferred.
Specific Competencies
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid math skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
English language proficiency, written and verbal.
Demonstrated problem‑solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
