Floor Technician (Housekeeping Department) Location: Georgetown, TX

Job Type: Full Time

The primary purpose of this position is to perform the day‑to‑day activities of the Housekeeping Department, specifically as a floors technician. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable facility in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all activities comply with applicable standards.

Report all accidents/incidents to the supervisor.

Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when cleaning resident living and recreational areas.

Attend departmental and staff meetings as directed.

Clean work/supply carts, equipment, and related areas as directed or necessary.

Ensure equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.

Perform day‑to‑day housekeeping functions as assigned.

Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations when required.

Honor residents’ personal and property rights, informing them when it is necessary to move their belongings during cleaning procedures.

Qualifications

Maintain care and proper use of supplies and equipment, and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas.

Perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.

Follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.

Relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility.

Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet, and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
