Program Supervisor Location: Behavioral Health Group Home Supervisor (located near 43rd Ave & Peoria) —

Pay Rate: $19 Hourly

Summary

Position Type: Full‑time, non‑exempt, hourly supervisor role.

Scope of Role: Supervises a single program or unit, typically supporting 4–8 individuals in residential settings or 10–15 individuals in periodic, vocational or day programs.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise Direct Support Professionals and oversee daily program operations, including delivery of supports, implementation of person‑centered plans, health care, advocacy, customer engagement, regulatory compliance, and oversight of the physical environment.

Work 8 to 16 flexible supervisory hours per week and provide direct support for the remaining hours.

Document records, review billing and program documentation for accuracy, attend team meetings, maintain licensing compliance, and manage individuals’ assets.

Prepare incident reports, compile census data for billing, and assist in health‑care activities such as monitoring health, scheduling appointments, administering medication, and maintaining medical supplies.

Coordinate stakeholder relations with families, case managers, and other agencies to ensure effective communication.

Recruit, hire, schedule, train, evaluate, discipline, and ensure safety of Direct Support Professionals.

Manage finances: purchasing supplies, reviewing credit card statements, billing, staffing hours, and ensuring cost effectiveness.

Track census data, support placement logistics, and maintain compliance with licensing and regulatory standards.

Maintain the work environment: vehicles, living spaces, maintenance and repair, and equipment safety.

Perform any other duties as required, including back‑filling roles under supervision.

Health Care

General Health Care: Monitor health, document, communicate with medical professionals, and implement preventive strategies.

Appointments: Assist in scheduling, accompany individuals, document visits, and oversee follow‑through.

Medications: Accurately administer or support self‑administration of medication, document delivery, and review medication documentation.

Medical Supplies and Equipment: Purchase and maintain supplies and equipment, communicate with employees, and assist with training.

Dietary Planning: Develop menus, purchase food, and oversee food service consistent with individual plans.

Stakeholder Relations

Maintain professional relations with individuals, families, case managers, and other stakeholders.

Implement Sevita Customer Service Standards and train DSPs in delivery.

Personnel

Recruit, interview, and hire DSPs in consultation with the Area Director and Talent Acquisition team.

Maintain schedules to ensure coverage and minimize overtime.

Onboard, orient, and provide ongoing training; verify training records.

Conduct annual evaluations for DSPs in partnership with the Program Director.

Coach and discipline employees, recommend termination, and consult with the Program Director on discipline matters.

Ensure employee safety and workers’ compensation compliance.

Lead monthly program meetings, document agenda and attendance.

Financial Management

Purchase supplies and office equipment; review credit card statements and invoices.

Manage individuals’ served funds, maintain ledgers, and safeguard financial assets.

Review census and attendance data to assure accurate billing.

Monitor staffing hours for budgetary compliance.

Census Management

Capture daily census and ensure accurate documentation.

Understand census measurement, monitor performance, and alert on potential disruptions.

Support placement preparation (room, furniture, safety requirements).

Maintenance

Inspect vehicles, test drives, maintain safety equipment, and report concerns.

Schedule and monitor housekeeping, lawn and yard care.

Arrange minor repairs, monitor safety equipment, and maintain environmental conditions.

Monitor wheelchairs, lifts, and other safety equipment for repair.

Other

Perform other duties as required, including back‑filling roles under supervision.

MPA = Mobile Punch Authorized for timekeeping.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Lead Direct Support Professionals, manage personnel, complete evaluations, orientation, training, hiring decisions, discipline, and resolve employee issues within the position’s responsibilities.

Minimum Knowledge And Skills Required For The Job Education And Experience

High School diploma or equivalent.

Must obtain a Level One fingerprint card.

One‑year related work experience.

Must be 21 years or older.

Working knowledge of computers.

Certificates, Licenses, And Registrations

Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance (if driving on behalf of the Company).

Other licensure(s) or certification(s) where required by regulatory authority.

Work Environment

Services or support in residential, vocational, or in‑home settings.

Program Supervisor works at the program location and visits each shift and all employees at least once per month.

Physical Requirements

Heavy work: Exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
