Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a growing industrial manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Industrial Buyer. This role is responsible for managing supplier relationships, executing cost‑effective sourcing strategies, and supporting cross‑functional initiatives that enhance purchasing operations. Job Duties
Manage supplier relationships to secure quality materials and negotiate competitive pricing Source and evaluate vendors for metals, fabricated assemblies, and packaging components Drive cost‑reduction initiatives through pricing analysis and procurement process improvements Collaborate cross‑functionally to align sourcing with project timelines, quality standards, and supply chain goals Familiarity with non‑automotive industrial supplier networks Track record of leading cost‑saving initiatives in a fast‑paced environment Skills & Experience Required
5+ years of sourcing/procurement experience in a non-automotive industrial setting Deep understanding of commodities such as metals, welding, machined parts, and packaging materials Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and Bills of Material (BoMs) Proficiency with ERP systems for procurement and inventory Strong negotiation and contract management skills Analytical ability for cost analysis and vendor performance evaluation Experience supporting cross‑functional procurement and supply chain initiatives Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field We offer industry-leading benefits options and are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) that values merit-based recruitment centered around technical ability, skillset, and alignment with our employing partners.
