Assistant Branch Manager - Albany County Floater, NY
Join Trustco Bank’s team in Albany County as an Assistant Branch Manager. This role supports the Branch Manager in driving branch success, delivering exceptional customer service, and managing daily operations.
Base pay range $40,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Step into the Branch Manager’s shoes during absence, manage staff, and maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Team Supervision: Oversee Head Teller and Teller teams, foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
Branch Branding & Growth: Build a strong branch identity, promote sales initiatives, and champion exceptional customer service.
Customer Engagement: Personally connect with clients and prospects, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure satisfaction aligns with our high standards.
Compliance & Accuracy: Review and approve transactions such as large check cashing, bank checks, and ledger entries, while maintaining strict adherence to policies.
Performance & Standards: Strive to meet and exceed branch performance metrics, focusing on operational controls, security, and regulatory compliance.
Professional Development: Continually enhance your banking acumen and sales techniques through training, workshops, and ongoing education.
Qualifications Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proven supervisory and leadership experience
Strong customer service background
Cash handling expertise
Excellent verbal communication skills
Fluent in English; bilingual a plus
Access to reliable transportation
Well‑organized and adept at managing multiple priorities
Team‑oriented with the ability to thrive in collaborative environments
Ability to lift 10–20 lbs., stand for extended periods
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree
Previous banking or financial services experience
Familiarity with residential mortgages, IRA services, and personal banking products
Schedule
Mon–Wed: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Tue: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Thu–Fri: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Sat: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM (rotating schedule)
Sun: Closed
Employees may need to remain 15–30 minutes after closing. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Occasional travel for training, meetings, or branch support.
