Project Manager I A mid‑level project management position responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service. Provides overall project management support for several small to medium projects or one large project supporting senior project management.

What You’ll Do

Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager.

Supervise and direct project activities, including assigning tasks to Assistant Project Managers, planning, coordinating, and resolving problem areas while maintaining all company/project policies and procedures.

Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact, including assessment of scope, schedule, and necessary resources.

Prepare a complete estimate for the project based on plans, specifications, and bid form.

Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.

Supervise the preparation of all change orders and negotiate them on the project.

Monitor construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.

Investigate serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines.

Supervise the preparation of all change quotations for presentation to the prime client and assist in negotiating their conclusion.

Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager.

Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interests while maintaining client relationships.

Review documentation prepared by the Assistant Project Manager before submission.

Represent the company in project meetings under guidance of PM II or Senior Project Manager.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed within the business unit.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Effective performance‑management skills.

Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and preference for Accubid and Oracle experience.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.

Capacity to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.

Ability to interact professionally with employees, management, vendors, clients, and others.

What You Bring To Us

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline (preferred).

Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry in a Project Management role.

Combination of training, education, and relevant work experience acceptable.

Tool install experience.

Travel

Up to 25%.

Working Conditions

General work environment – primarily on active construction sites; tasks include sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending, and intermittent lifting up to 30 lbs.

Work conducted indoors with varying environmental conditions (fluorescent lighting, air conditioning).

Noise level typically low to medium.
