Position Sourcing Specialist IV – Contract (1 year) – ROI – Workforce as a Service (WaaS)

Pay Base pay range: $46.00/hr – $48.00/hr. Contract duration: 1 year.

Location Ashland, VA (Local travel up to 30%)

Responsibilities

Process purchase requisitions and convert them to purchase orders.

Research suppliers and conduct requests for quotes.

Engage and communicate with suppliers during RFQ, selection, and PO fulfillment.

Coordinate with the strategic sourcing organization to update agreements and identify bid opportunities.

Collaborate with requisitioners and suppliers to ensure effective communication.

Monitor and report savings and key performance indicators.

Develop and maintain supplier relationships.

Negotiate and administer contracts.

Participate in cross‑functional sourcing teams.

Obtain and evaluate quotations/bids; recommend suppliers.

Negotiate and place purchase orders.

Issue and evaluate RFPs.

Engage suppliers on delivery, performance, and invoice processing to address delays.

Update blanket agreements and pricing outlines.

Maintain compliance with procurement processes and procedures.

Lead procurement process improvement initiatives, metrics reporting.

Provide direction on enterprise‑wide sourcing initiatives based on demand.

Engage stakeholders on outage planning and project‑based procurement activities.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

5+ years of procurement experience.

Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Power BI).

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering.

5‑7 years of sourcing experience in Generation, Retail, or Corporate spend categories.

1+ year working with SAP applications.

ISM qualification for CPSM (preferred).

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Prior supply management experience within power generation.

Strong interpersonal, motivating and influencing skills.

Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office; proficiency in Power BI.

Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload independently.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Working Conditions

Work at power plants and in an open office environment.

Some overtime required on special projects.

Local travel up to 30% of time.
