Material Handler

in

Rockville, MD .

The Material Handler will carry out the following departmental responsibilities: order fulfillment including picking, packing and shipping. This position requires the ability to pull and pack orders in a timely manner; stock all items in correct locations using the inventory management software. This position requires the ability to multi-task as well as follow standard operating procedures at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receiving and Inspecting Materials

Unloading incoming shipments

verify quantities and check for damage.

Match items to purchase orders and delivery documents.

Inventory Management

Accurately record materials in inventory system

Tag and label items for identification

Assist with cycle counts and stock audits.

Material Movement

Transport materials to designated storage or production areas.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment safely.

Stage materials for production or shipping.

Order Picking and packing

Pull materials according to work orders or pick lists.

Prepare items for shipment, including packing, labeling and shipping with multiple carriers.

Safety and Compliance

Follow all safety protocols.

Maintain clean and organized work area.

Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Documentation and Reporting

Complete shipping and receiving paperwork

Update ERP or warehouse management system.

Report discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
