Responsibilities
Coordinate cylinder requirements with region branches or delegates to Asst. Plant Manager or Plant Supervisor.
Train, develop and conduct timely performance appraisals of assigned personnel with Asst. Plant Manager. Recommend disciplinary action up to and including termination of plant personnel supervisor.
Delegate or directly direct and coordinate plant activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize production.
Analyze plant budget to identify areas where efficiencies can be obtained and production costs reduced and then allocate operating budget.
Develop plant goals and work with and through subordinate associates to achieve results. Work with Plant Supervisor or Asst. Plant Manager to achieve goals.
Follow and maintain all FDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT requirements and regulations.
Supervise Plant Supervisor or Asst. Plant Manager if position part of operation.
Maintain all required computer and hand generated paperwork or delegate to Plant Supervisor or Asst. Plant Manager.
Report any equipment or facility defects to Operations Management.
Review technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in the industry.
Be responsible for safety and safety practices of assigned personnel.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 plus years of management or leadership experience is required.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales/distribution of industrial gases, welding supplies, or similar products.
Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
The ability to set standards, delegate tasks, monitor progress toward goals, overcome obstacles, coach/assist team members, assess performance, provide recognition, and proactively address problems is required.
The ability to read and comprehend all written documents and instructions is required.
The ability to communicate verbally and in writing is required.
The ability to become forklift certified is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Experience with SAP and Power BI software programs is preferred.
Prior experience in sales/distribution of industrial gases, welding supplies, or similar products is required.
