Job Description Elwyn seeks a Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning/Maintenance Supervisor to be responsible for the HVAC equipment of the facilities. The supervisor will manage a wide variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the systems. Areas of responsibility include troubleshooting, repairing and installing equipment, troubleshooting, fixes, repairs and/or replaces HVAC systems as well as provides routine facility maintenance.
Essential Functions
Maintains the facilities HVAC systems including installation of new equipment
Maintains and performs preventative maintenance (PM) in accordance with established PM schedules
Communicates daily with maintenance supervisors and staff (via telephone and email) regarding facilities maintenance issues
Arranges work orders as they are received and completes in order of priority
Creates and maintains Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) refrigerant logs
Maintains stock inventory and orders materials as needed
Maintains and updates systems information in the computer data base as they are serviced/replaced
Responds to requests for information by accessing relevant facility files
Oversee the work activities of the Maintenance Repair Person
Provides back-up coverage for maintenance supervisors as needed
Provides on call responsibilities for building maintenance after hours
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Five (5) years' experience as a technician in the HVAC service industry
One (1) year experience providing supervision preferred
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Knowledge of and proficient in relevant computer systems related to the field
Experience working in building trades preferred
Universal EPA Refrigerant Certification
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
Must possess excellent customer interaction and written and verbal communication skills
Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record
