Quality Control Analyst II at SWBC Mortgage Corporation
SWBC is seeking a talented individual to develop and test the Quality Control Plan against department procedures, provide departmental risk analysis, and determine best practices that meet industry standards and guidelines.
Essential Duties
Develop comprehensive testing of all aspects of the SWBC Mortgage Quality Control plan.
Evaluate and provide appropriate solutions for risk issues and present findings to Senior and Executive Management.
Review the SWBC Mortgage Quality Control plan to ensure all investor requirements are addressed within the plan.
Oversee the preparation or prepare responses to both internal and external business audits.
Conduct internal testing with a focus on procedural efficiencies and regulatory and compliance standards for SWBC Mortgage.
Implement processes and procedures as well as policy controls to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and reduce risk.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in quality control or mortgage operations, including at least two (2) years as a Quality Control Analyst I or related experience.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Self‑starter with working knowledge of quality management fundamentals, data analysis, and policy creation.
Ability to balance risk mitigation and operational efficiency.
Strong analytical, organizational, time‑management, and decision‑making skills.
Ability to handle multiple demands and priorities, take initiative, and work independently.
Thorough understanding of underwriting policies and procedures, including investor guidelines and regulatory updates.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and high confidentiality.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Able to type at least 40 WPM accurately.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Able to sit for long periods analyzing mortgage loan processing data.
Able to lift, push, pull, stoop, or kneel 10–20 lbs. of files or other loan processing documents.
