Job Description Job Title: Strategic Buyer

Location: Raleigh, NC

3 Days On-Site / 2 Remote / May need to work at Cary, NC.

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and proactive Strategic Buyer to join our Supply Chain Management team. The Strategic Buyer will play a key role in sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and building strong supplier relationships to support our business objectives. This position requires a blend of analytical thinking, negotiation expertise, and a strategic mindset to optimize costs while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet company goals for cost, quality, and supply chain efficiency.

Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and requirements.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements.

Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and industry data to inform purchasing decisions.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (planning, production, finance, and logistics) to align procurement with operational needs.

Manage and coordinate equipment deliveries, oversee all procurement activities, and provide essential reporting to support operational success.

Pick and identify materials in warehouse whenever needed.

Monitor and manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent performance and risk mitigation.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier interactions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and reduce costs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

05 years of experience in strategic procurement.

Proven negotiation skills with a track record of securing cost‑effective deals.

Strong analytical skills.

Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.

Familiarity with manufacturing procurement practices is a plus.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Knowledge of SAP is key.
