Location
Remote-travel based around our NYC hotels. Travel to Chicago, IL is also required.
Regional Operations Manager The Regional Operations Manager will provide short-term task and project support to the hotels within our region. They will be involved with varying operational roles and will provide guidance and direction to the Executive Committee Members, especially when new positions are being onboarded to our independent/full-service hotels. This position will be accountable for assisting each hotel achieve and exceed results in financial metrics, guest-satisfaction and team-member engagement.
Responsibilities
Navigate all Brands web sites to understand hotel brand needs.
Understand all brand and non-brand satisfaction tools and direct hotels on how to improve standings.
Review and report on all MCR compliance reports.
Help lead hotel teams in the development and implementation of individual hotel performance strategies.
Continuously improve guest and team member satisfaction and maximize financial performance for the hotel.
Achieve budgeted revenues, market share performance growth, monitor and control food, beverage and labor costs and maximize profitability within all areas of the hotel.
Train and onboard existing or newly recruited open leadership positions in the hotel and develop specific processes to ensure overall success.
Prepare or review financial reports and special project analytics.
Proactively communicate regarding people or product to senior level management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in hospitality or related field preferred.
At least 4 years experience as a Hotel General Manager or Executive Committee Member.
Must have at least 7 years experience in a full-service hotel along with specific experience in F&B and/or Rooms Management positions.
Ability to travel to all NYC independent hotels without notice and as needed.
Ability to travel to Chicago.
New York City union experience.
Experience in critiquing and evaluating hotel financial statements.
Finance / analytics experience is preferred.
Management and Customer Service experience; strong administrative skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead.
Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue and forecasting.
Strong communications skills.
Marriott experience preferred.
