Job Type: Full‑time

What You’ll Do The Production Supervisor will oversee operations of specific areas, ensuring production goals, consistent quality standards, and customer delivery requirements are all achieved. The supervisor leads team members and organizes workflows in complex assembly operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Directly supervise a team of 20‑30+ production associates to ensure they consistently meet performance metrics and achieve production goals.

Occasionally assist the line by assembling product and covering for breaks and absent associates.

Evaluate team and individual performance via consistent coaching and performance reviews, making recommendations for staffing, pay increases, and promotions.

Follow policies, exercise ethical judgment, and ensure transparency in identifying, managing, and reporting issues. Hold others accountable to maintain standards.

Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications, meeting scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.

Ensure successful team operations by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Maintain staff by selecting and training team members, then developing personal growth opportunities.

Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; observing equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; fostering a "One Whisker" spirit of cooperation.

Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

Maintain quality of product by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.

Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record‑keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.

Ensure timecard accuracy for all department team members through the company payroll system.

Engage in 5S ("Sort", "Set In order", "Shine", "Standardize" and "Sustain") activities.

Perform additional responsibilities when required.

Leadership Responsibilities Directly supervise department teams. Carry out supervisory responsibilities following Whisker policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, addressing team issues, and upholding safety and quality guidelines. Manage multiple production areas to help cover when other leadership is unavailable.

Requirements What You’ll Bring

5+ years experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

5+ years of experience managing people and teams (preferred).

Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively through department and one‑on‑one meetings.

Nice to Have

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

LEAN practice and event experience.

Location: Oconomowoc, WI / Beaver Dam, WI / Mayville, WI. Salary ranges: $122,400.00–$171,400.00 (Oconomowoc), $90,000.00–$110,000.00 (Beaver Dam), $75,000.00–$80,000.00 (Beaver Dam 2nd shift).
