About the Role The Lead Multifamily Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on‑site construction activities for multifamily projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage subcontractors, coordinate schedules, and maintain compliance with project specifications and building codes.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and supervise all field operations for multifamily construction projects from start to finish.
Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of work.
Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Enforce job site safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
Assist in managing project budgets, controlling costs, and minimizing waste.
Identify and resolve issues promptly to avoid delays and maintain project momentum.
Mentor and lead field staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Serve as the primary on‑site contact for clients, inspectors, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
10–20 years of progressive experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor, specifically on multifamily projects.
Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
