Process Operator – Granulation Unit – Faustina, Louisiana
Job Overview The Mosaic Company is seeking an experienced Process Operator to manage the granulation unit at our Faustina, Louisiana facility. The role involves controlling chemical process equipment through instrumented control boards or other control stations, monitoring instruments, flow meters, panel lights, and related indicators, and ensuring process conditions meet plant safety and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
Monitor recording instruments, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators to verify process stability and conformance.
Execute orderly correction of any problems safely, securing equipment and preparing for maintenance in accordance with safety and environmental policies.
Communicate verbally and in writing with coworkers and supervisors regarding operational status and required actions.
Manually regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations as directed by supervisory personnel.
Remain vigilant of conditions that could impact fellow workers or the environment.
Report any issues that could affect safety or environmental compliance.
Position Requirements
High School diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in process technology preferred.
Minimum of 1 year industrial or manufacturing experience preferred.
Basic computer literacy required.
Team‑oriented experience essential.
Familiarity with an industrial environment highly desirable.
Effective verbal communication skills a plus.
Physical work may include occasional outdoor exposure to varying temperatures.
Physical Demands and Accommodation
Must safely perform essential job functions without posing a direct threat to personal or others' safety.
Occasional lifting of 0‑25 lbs and ability to climb stairs and work at various heights.
Visual, auditory, verbal, and fine motor acuity required; corrective aids permitted.
Must work rotating shifts, overtime, and 12‑hour shifts as needed.
