Supply Chain Manager
role at
AeroNimble MRO .
Base pay range
$85,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr
Summary We are seeking a highly capable Supply Chain and Operations Specialist who will establish, manage, and continuously improve the full material lifecycle for our aircraft engine overhaul operation. This is a player–coach role: hands‑on execution in the current shop while designing and refining scalable systems that will support multiple remote locations as the business expands. This position is ideal for a supply chain professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial, growth‑stage environment—someone who can manage day‑to‑day purchasing, logistics, and inventory while simultaneously building the processes, metrics, and standards that will become the backbone of a multi‑site MRO network. Engine technical expertise is not required; supply chain discipline and operational leadership are.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Material Ownership
Own all procurement, logistics, inventory control, and material readiness processes supporting engine overhauls.
Purchase parts, hardware, consumables, tooling, and repair services required for shop flow and on‑time delivery.
Maintain continuous visibility of shortages, repair loops, lead times, and critical‑path components.
System Setup, Standardization & Scaling
Build, implement, and manage supply chain processes within our ERP/MRP/MES systems.
Develop material standards, documentation controls, inventory policies, and min/max strategies that scale to additional shops.
Create SOPs, visual controls, dashboards, and KPIs used across all locations.
Enhance process repeatability and audit readiness as the organization grows.
Material Planning & Operational Flow
Translate workscope, disassembly findings, and historical usage into material requirements and purchase plans.
Use Lean, JIT, and continuous improvement methods to optimize flow, reduce waste, and prevent delays.
Maintain a well‑organized stockroom using 5S and Lean material movement principles.
Shipping, Receiving & Compliance Management
Manage all inbound/outbound shipments, customs requirements, hazmat considerations, and repair routing.
Validate and control documentation for all parts (8130, EASA Form 1, trace, teardown reports).
Support warranty administration, core tracking, and supplier returns.
Cost Control and Supplier Performance
Track vendor performance, pricing, lead times, DIFOT, and material spend variance.
Support cost‑per‑shop‑visit and margin improvement targets.
Negotiate with suppliers and identify strategic opportunities for PMA/DER repairs or VMI programs.
Player–Coach Leadership
Execute operational tasks daily while demonstrating leadership behaviors that model future expectations.
As the shop expands, train, mentor, and eventually lead a small team supporting purchasing, inventory, logistics, and documentation.
Provide clear direction and structure to future staff while maintaining direct ownership of key system functions.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Technicians, the VP/GM, and customer teams.
Participate in production meetings and contribute to TAT improvement initiatives.
Support audits and regulatory reviews as required.
