Overview The purpose of the position is to manage the planning and coordination of inventory, and to create and implement best practices for processes and strategy to improve operational performance.
Responsibilities
Manage planning and coordination of LJS Solutions inventory.
Create and implement best practices for processes and strategy to improve operational performance.
Establish vendors and support daily outside purchases.
Manage raw material and work‑in‑process inventories, and purchase and inventory supplies.
Participate in the conversion to an ERP/MRP system (Microsoft Dynamics).
Schedule and forecast the right volumes of materials, goods and products inbound from supply chain companies.
Support the development of bill of materials, part routings and labor scheduling.
Ensure material supply meets production requirements with minimum stock levels.
Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
Ensure that any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system is effective, that data is accurate and up to date, and resolve any issues as required.
Ensure the integrity of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and inventory accuracy, and manage and control inventory levels and movements.
Oversee the obsolete parts process to minimize business liability and waste.
Oversee labeling processes to ensure correct parts/finished assemblies reach the correct customers at the correct time.
