Overview
Oversees and ensures the adherence to sales and marketing policies, procedures and regulatory standards across all sales and marketing activities. Monitors sales/marketing events in Salesforce or other applicable systems, reviews policies for ongoing compliance, oversees the CTM process, conducts sales audits and serves as the department liaison for the Secret Shopper program to promote ethical sales standards. Serves as the liaison for Health Plan sales and marketing with both internal and external partners. Manages and supports the activities of the Compliance/Regulatory Programs for VNS Health Health Plans Sales and Marketing departments to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Oversees sales and marketing activities to ensure regulatory compliance, which includes audits and monitoring various activities. Audits and monitors all sales/marketing events entered in Salesforce or other applicable systems to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirement. Assists in coordinating and responding to regulatory policy changes affecting VNS Health operations. Collaborates with sales and marketing leadership in developing, reviewing, and revising departmental policies, procedures and related activities for the business. Ensures that VNS Health Health Plans sales and marketing staff are aware of and in compliance with policies and procedures. Collaborates with sales operations to implement corrective actions and implement controls related to identified compliance concerns; evaluates the efficacy of the controls. Oversees the CTM process, ensuring consistent adherence to compliance standards among team members. Monitors sales audits program to identify any discrepancies or non-compliant activities, recommending corrective actions as needed. Engages with third party vendors who perform auditing of Health Plan sales and marketing teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in scoring methodology. Prepares and presents compliance reports to sales senior management highlighting risks and areas of improvement. Collaborates with Human Resources and VNS Health leadership to ensure consistency of disciplinary actions related to matters of non-compliance, especially those related to fraud, waste and abuse and privacy violations. Reviews data for patterns and/or trends that may indicate workstream or process concerns involving errors or quality related issues. Prepares reports to communicate key patterns and/or trends and their implications from a compliance/risk perspective. Provides recommendations to address the identified concerns and follows-up with any implemented changes. Utilizes data to develop process improvement recommendations. Ensures that regulatory changes or other updates are incorporated into process flows and that concerns are resolved across the appropriate process teams. Assists with responses to external requests including, but not limited to, government audits and record requests from oversight agencies. Creates an environment that encourages the reporting of compliance concerns and allegations. Keeps up-to-date regarding compliance, privacy, and vendor oversight laws, regulations, and trends for all VNS Health entities and programs. Serves as a resource to staff regarding compliance-related matters and questions. Proactively works to identify appropriate Special Election Periods (SEPs) for sales and marketing teams to effectively and compliantly drive growth for the Health Plan. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications:
Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar compliance certification preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Compliance, or a related field required. Master's Degree MBA, MHA, or related discipline preferred Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales compliance, marketing oversight, or regulatory affairs within a managed care, health plan, or healthcare organization required. Strong knowledge of CMS marketing and sales regulations for Medicare Advantage and/or Medicaid plans, including applicable federal and state requirements required. Demonstrated experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring within a sales or marketing context required. Prior experience working with Salesforce or other CRM tools for tracking sales activities preferred. Experience interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements and developing corresponding policies and procedures required. Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop corrective action plans that mitigate compliance risk required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports and presenting findings to senior leadership required. Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments (Sales, Marketing, Compliance, and Operations) and with external vendors or regulators required. Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Deep understanding of ethical sales practices and compliance-driven business operations required. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills required. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment required. Professional judgment, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality required. Pay Range
