Job Title Dimensional Inspector
Department Quality Assurance
Employment Status Full-time/Non-exempt
Reports to Assistant Quality Manager
Position Objective & Purpose Responsible for the inspection of products to assure that they meet specifications.
Qualifications
An immediate opportunity for an Inspector/Auditor in our Quality Assurance Department.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of injection molding.
Must have knowledge of quality assurance methods, processes and procedures.
Must have the ability to solve problems with excellent interpersonal skills.
Must have the ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
Must have an aptitude for basic math and the ability to operate all standard measuring equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, Feeler Gage, Height Stand).
Knowledge of blueprint reading is preferred. Must have ability to recognize and identify quality issues both visually and dimensionally.
Essential Functions
Make regular inspection rounds to required work areas.
Verify that parts meet quality specifications both visually and dimensionally in accordance with specifications
and/or work instructions.
Communicate to Quality Supervisor, Production Supervisor and others to inform them of quality issues in a timely
manner.
Maintain accurate documentation of all quality issues that occur on assigned shift.
Non-essential Functions
Maintain cleanliness and order in the Quality Assurance Department.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Machines, tools, equipment and electrical devices used to accomplish the job:
Standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gages, gage pins, dial indicators, optical comparator, vision equipment, CMM, personal computer, two-way radio
