Job Schedule:

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.

Candidate will assist in the execution of sourcing strategies within a specific commodity focus area to identify new sources of supply, on‑board and develop new suppliers, and manage projects to ensure qualification of suppliers to meet defense manufacturing requirements. Candidate will need acquisition/supply chain knowledge with skills in project management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects. Candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional personnel, customers, and suppliers to ensure successful development of new sources of supply.

Essential Functions

Support and assist the commodity management team in overseeing obsolescence management and tracking of critical materials impacting production and development programs.

Support and assist the commodity management team in monitoring IR&D projects for new material/product insertion.

Coordinate cross‑functional teams (e.g., procurement, engineering, quality, operations) to achieve project goals.

Generate obsolescence management and/or IR&D reporting status.

Track project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and validate appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

Where applicable, manage IFRs or budgets associated with capacity projects.

Generate project out‑brief reports for leadership.

Travel up to 25% to supplier locations (may include some international travel).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of category management experience, or a graduate degree with 0–2 years of experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience is required.

Preferred Additional Skills

Security clearance preferred, but not required.

Master’s degree or focus in supply chain preferred.

Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task project actions.

Communication skills to lead meetings and develop presentation packages and business case analysis for review with business leaders.

In compliance with pay‑transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $61,500 - $114,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland, Ohio, and Vermont is $54,000 - $100,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation; the final offer may vary based on experience and geographic location.
