I. Overview
Villa Albertine is an institution of the French Embassy in the United States, supported by the French government and Albertine Foundation. Its mission is to strengthen ties between the United States, France, and the French-speaking world through culture and education. Present in 10 major U.S. cities – Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, New Orleans, San Francisco, and Washington, DC – it is headquartered in New York’s historic Payne Whitney mansion on Fifth Avenue.
Under the supervision of the Audiovisual Attaché, Director of the French Institute in the United States – Villa Albertine (IFEU-VA), and the Cultural Attaché in Los Angeles, the Coordination Officer assists in the scheduling of audiovisual projects and implements the communications plans defined by the team. In the audiovisual field, he/she participates in strategic monitoring, project design, and feasibility studies where necessary, and ensures their realization. In terms of communication, he/she contributes to promoting the team’s activities by actively participating in the development and execution of its communications plan.
II. Job Description Tracking Audiovisual Projects
Assist in coordinating and participate in scheduling audiovisual projects, in particular Boulevard des Séries, Films on the Green, video game and new media projects.
Participate in the development of key local partnerships and nurture a network of guests, partners, and organizations.
Coordinate audiovisual projects with all relevant departments (Villa Albertine teams in New York, departments at the French Consulate in Los Angeles, and external partners).
Strengthen Villa Albertine’s presence in universities through audiovisual projects.
Draft speeches, notes, and fact sheets on various current topics, companies, or personalities.
Participate in evaluating the relevance and impact of actions taken.
Communications and Events
Contribute to the execution of Villa Albertine Los Angeles’ communications plan.
Participate in the organization of Villa Albertine’s events (receptions at the French Residence, partner and sponsor events, etc.).
Take part in the regular communication, promotion, and publication (in coordination with the team at our New York headquarters) of information and programs intended for partners in the district, including drafting programs, e-blasts, newsletters, cultural calendars, social media, etc.
Coordinate actions with the communication departments of the Consulate and Villa Albertine.
Monitor and update the CRM contact database.
Administrative Management
Track the budget for audiovisual projects
Prepare and track agreements and grant applications with partners
Input and track transactions in the payment management system.
Provide administrative support to the audiovisual attaché (calendar management, expense reports, organization of visits and travel, etc.).
Ensure operational follow-up with service providers related to events.
Work in tandem with the Cultural and Educational Project Coordination Officer.

Proven experience in audiovisual project management (operational and budgetary)
Proven experience in internal and external communications (all types of media)
Excellent writing skills in French and English
Proven knowledge of the American audiovisual sector
Language Requirements

French (reading, speaking, writing): Advanced or bilingual desired
Technical Skills
Command of WordPress, MailChimp, Canva, Adobe – Desired
Command of social media management (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook) – Desired

The Audiovisual Projects and Communications Coordination Officer reports to the two attachés in charge of Villa Albertine in Los Angeles and works closely with IFEU-VA’s federal services and the teams at the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles.
Workplace: The Consulate General of France – 10390 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite 410, Los Angeles, CA 90025, USA
This is a 100% in-person position based in Los Angeles.
Weekly working hours: 40 hours, full time, excluding lunch break.
Occasional availability required for events on weekends and in the evenings.
Constraints related to the budget execution schedule, cultural events or high-level visitors.
Gross Salary: From 5,758 USD/month, full-time basis with a monthly transportation allowance of $120.
Generous vacation policy (25 days a year + public holidays).
