Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sets up machine tooling to accurately trim parts in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Reads code, drawings and work instructions to set up and run machinery accordingly
Reads blueprint and / or job order for product specifications, including dimensions and tolerances
Designs and build fixtures to assist in trimming formed plastic parts
Performs part inspection and verification to ensure parts meet quality standards as required
Works with Quality team to correct non‑conforming parts
Keeps machining area neat and orderly
Daily inspects equipment and performs scheduled maintenance as needed
Works with production team to identify process inefficiencies and suggest process improvements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum 2+ years machine operation required (preferably 5‑axis routers)
Ability to read and write G and M code
Experience using various measurement equipment and hand tools
Knowledge of cutting tools and application, feeds and speeds, and tool setup
Knowledge and understanding of GD&T principles and precision measurement
Ability to troubleshoot machine processes
Ability to work independently and stay on task with minimal direction
Experience working in a manufacturing environment using various equipment and hand tools in a proper and safe manner
Experience with Fanuc controls a plus
Experience with vacuum workholding a plus
Experience machining plastics a plus
Education and Experience (Required and preferred educational and experiential qualifications)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in Mastercam, SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software a plus
CNC trade school certification or equivalent a plus
