Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician II (3rd Shift) to support a high-volume plastics manufacturing facility located in Mebane, North Carolina. The Maintenance Tech II plays a critical role in maintaining and optimizing Injection Molding, Thermoforming, Extrusion, and EPP/EPS machinery. This position focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and process improvement across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence and safety.
Eligibility: US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control malfunctions using test instruments and operational observation.
Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble machinery components including motors, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder logic, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams to troubleshoot issues.
Install, program, or repair automated and robotic equipment (including PLC‑controlled systems).
Use lathes, grinders, drill presses, welders, and torches to fabricate or repair machine parts.
Inspect and measure components for wear, misalignment, or failure.
Assemble and install pipe systems, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic lines as needed.
Document maintenance and repair activities in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Must‑Have Qualifications
2–5 years of maintenance experience in plastics manufacturing with one or more of the following: Inline Sheet Extrusion, Inline Thermoforming, EPP/EPS Shape Molding.
Strong understanding of robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated control systems.
Skilled with lathe, grinder, drill press, welder, and cutting torch for repair or fabrication work.
Competent in reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
Experience installing and maintaining pipe systems, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and part inspection methods.
Demonstrated reliability, job stability, and commitment to teamwork.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with Haitian or JSW injection molding machines, Star Robots, Lyle thermoforming systems, Davis‑Standard extrusion lines, Akkaya EPP/EPS machines, Una‑Dyn or Novatec material handling systems.
Licensed forklift or aerial‑lift operator certification.
Familiarity with CMMS data entry, maintenance reporting, and inventory management.
Strong computer proficiency (MS Excel, Outlook, and maintenance software).
Exposure to Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and safety programs.
Interview & Work Schedule
Shift: 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Monday – Friday
Shift Differential: +$1.50/hour
Interview Process: 1 On‑Site Round (Mandatory)
Preferred Candidate Location: North Carolina (Mebane, Greensboro, Raleigh–Durham)
