Job Description
Marathon TS is seeking a skilled Designer II to join their dynamic team.
In this role, you will be using your skills and expertise to develop engineering definition for the Airborne Mission Network (AbMN) C-130 program. These drawings will be incorporated into a very complex technical data package including parts and assemblies for advanced mission payloads and electronic systems. You'll create and review layouts, drawings, and models for clarity, completeness, and accuracy. You'll identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and/or improvements in designs.
Physical / Mental / Emotional Requirements
Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.
Frequently repeat the same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.
Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions: Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials. Rarely exposed to loud noises.
Qualifications
Understanding of engineering principles and practices, including configuration management.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools and drafting practices using SOLIDWORKS.
Preferred experience with Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) and 3Dxperience(PLM) software.
Working knowledge of ASME and Government standards.
Prior experience applying and interpreting industry-standard design principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware and/or electrical component selection, fabrication, manufacturing, and production processes.
