The Opportunity CACI has an opening for an Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean Engineer to support engineering and planning efforts for Submarine Rescue and Mobility platforms at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, Maine.
Responsibilities
Develop, create and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs)
Assist with other Deficiency Form problems and preparing Sales Costs estimates.
Support of 688 Class and 774 Class Submarine engineering and Deep Submergence projects.
Qualifications Required:
Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered)
10 years' experience with submarine and/or deep submergence systems
Knowledge of US Navy Shipyard applications including AIM
Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress, etc.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and experience with MS Office suite of products.
Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment.
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Attention to detail.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
Desired
Related submarine/submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair and/or testing
Electrical power background (NSTM 300)
Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI and ASME standards
Experience with configuration management and document control
Ability to achieve excellence working individually or as part of a team

Pay Range $94,800 – $199,100
