Pay & Benefits
$33.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications (not a flat‑rate)
ASE incentive of $0.25/hour for each relevant ASE obtained (we pay for the training materials and exams)
Monday‑Friday 6:00 am–3:00 pm full‑time shift
Annual allowances for boots and prescription safety glasses

About the Position As a Diesel Mechanic at First Student, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safety of the children who count on us for a ride to and from school in classic yellow buses.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
Complete work orders.
Assist with mobile emergency services.
Use diagnostic skills to troubleshoot issues needing repair work.
Qualifications
Experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided).
Mechanic’s tool set.
Willingness to grow, learn, and develop skillset through ASE testing.
Ability to impact community meaningfully.
