Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer
Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design parts, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks, perform engineering analyses, support production floor improvements, and collaborate with testing and ERP data management.
Responsibilities
Design parts, drawings, and large assemblies using SolidWorks.
Perform engineering analyses and simulations.
Provide support to the production floor for design changes or process improvements.
Collaborate with the testing department to develop and test building processes.
Utilize ERP systems for product data management.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
Knowledge of machine building, welding, or fabrication methods.
Experience with metals and fabricated or welded machine parts.
Understanding of GD&T and electromechanical design.
3+ years of experience in a related field; co‑ops and internships may be considered.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with fabrication and weldment processes.
Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with various departments.
Work Environment The work environment is predominantly office based, with significant collaboration with the production floor during design changes or testing phases.
Job Type & Location Contract to Hire, Cleveland, OH.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $29.00 - $38.50/hr.
