Overview As a Lead Maintenance Mechanic your day involves maintaining critical building systems including lighting, HVAC equipment, chillers, boilers, and pumps while leading maintenance staff and ensuring 24/7 operational excellence. You'll perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergency repairs, handle tenant service requests, and conduct facility inspections to maintain the clean, controlled environment essential for pharmaceutical operations. What is your day to day?
Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
Minor plumbing repairs
Complete special tasks that include but are not limited to painting, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned
Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations
Respond effectively to all emergencies
Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws
Comply with all policies for safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Document work performance and materials procurement as directed
Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Maintenance Mechanic role
Perform PM's on chillers, air compressors and dryers, boilers, pumps, etc.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical in a commercial or industrial environment
Senior-level experience
Must complete background and MVR check
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
Ability to work 3rd shift
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of BAS (Building Automation System) or QBAS (Qualified Building Automation System)
Experience using Maximo CMMS
Completion of an applicable technical training program
EPA Universal
Work Environment
Pharmaceutical distribution center with office space
Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
Location Onsite – New Albany, OH
Work Shift Week 1: Wednesday to Saturday 6am – 6pm
Week 2: Thursday to Saturday 6am – 6pm
Salary / Compensation $32 – $38 hourly + OT
