Overview Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks a casual, as‑needed certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of all NM activities at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Confirm orders, document medical necessity, and obtain pre‑authorization on all NM orders.
Use diagnostic imaging techniques to detect and map radioactive drugs in the human body.
Administer radioactive pharmaceuticals to patients and monitor the characteristics and functions of tissues or organs in which they localize.
Meet minimum federal standards for administration of radioactive drugs and operation of radiation detection equipment.
Qualifications
Certification in Nuclear Medicine required through ARRT or NMTCB; certification with the Nuclear Medicine Board preferred.
Graduated from an accredited junior college or technical program.
Must provide proof of required degrees, certificates, and/or certifications at time of interview.
Candidates unable to provide documentation will not be considered.
